S is for spider! Make a spider craft to help your preschooler learn about the letter Ss and celebrate Halloween using paper plates, dot markers, yarn, pipe cleaners, and wiggle eyes.
Materials
- White paper plates
- Green, orange, purple, or black dot markers
- Green, orange, purple, or black yarn
- Green, orange, purple, or black pipe cleaners
- Wiggle eyes
- Scissors
- Tape
- Glue
Instructions
- Use a dot marker to color the top of a paper plate a single color.
- Cut 1-inch slits around the edge of the colored paper plate.
- Tape a piece of yarn to the back of the plate.
- Weave the yarn through the slits.
- Tape the other end of the yarn to the back of the plate.
- Cut four pipe cleaners in half.
- Tape four pipe cleaner halves to both sides of the back of the plater.
- Glue the colored paper plate on top of another white paper plate.
- Glue wiggle eyes to the top of the colored paper plate.
- Display the S Is for Spider Halloween paper plate craft.
