M is for mistletoe! Help your toddler learn about the letter M by making a fun mistletoe footprint craft.
Materials
- Green and red nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some green paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of green paint on your child’s right foot.
- Press the footprint with the toes pointing down and the foot at a slight angle onto the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of green paint on your child’s left foot.
- Press the footprint with the toes pointing down and the foot at a slight angle onto the paper. The heel of the second footprint should slightly overlap the heel of the first footprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press three red fingertip prints in a triangle pattern on the heels of the green footprints. Reapply the paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “M is for mistletoe” in red on the paper.
