My kids and I have been getting crafty in preparation for Valentine’s Day. Last year my daughter and I made heart snails and heart butterflies. For a fun animal-themed craft this year, my kids and I made heart peacocks using green, blue, purple, yellow, and pink construction paper and wiggle eyes. My son especially loved gluing his hearts all over his paper!
Materials
- Green, blue, purple, yellow, and pink construction paper
- Wiggle eyes
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
- Cut medium hearts from the green, blue, and purple paper.
- Cut an extra small heart from the yellow paper.
- Cut a figure 8 shape with a larger bottom from the blue paper.
- Glue the hearts onto the pink paper in a peacock tail shape.
- Glue the blue figure 8 at the bottom of the tail.
- Glue the yellow heart in the center bottom of the top circle of the figure 8.
- Glue two wiggle eyes above the yellow heart.
